One waste figure for every product
Carpet tile, vinyl and porcelain don't waste the same, but a spreadsheet often uses one number for all of them. In Bidfident each line carries its own waste percentage, from 5% on carpet to 10% on tile.
Tile priced at the flooring rate
A tile setter costs more per hour than a resilient installer, and one labour rate hides it. In Bidfident each line takes its trade's rate from the library, so tile and vinyl are each priced at their own.
Prep that gets missed

Tile setters and installers at their own rates
Give the porcelain line the tile setter's trade and the vinyl and carpet lines the installer's, and each takes its rate from the library.
Square feet by product, base by the foot
Underlayment, vinyl, carpet tile and porcelain by the square foot, rubber base by the linear foot. Each line takes a quantity, hours per unit, a material price with its own waste percentage, and equipment by the hour.
Room by room, or floor by floor
Tag lines with an area, such as the operatories, the washrooms or the second floor, and group the sheet by it with a subtotal for each.
Floor prep bids side by side

An upgrade, kept apart
Price an upgrade, such as vinyl in place of carpet, as an alternate. Switch it off and it stays on the sheet, struck through, with what it comes to shown beside the totals.

Questions
Can each flooring product have its own waste?
Yes. Every line has its own waste percentage, so carpet tile, vinyl and porcelain can each carry a different one.
Can I price tile at a tile setter's rate?
Yes. Add a tile setter as a trade with its rate, or type it in the Trade cell to add it on the spot, and give the tile lines that trade.
Does it convert square feet to boxes or rolls?
No. Bidfident doesn't convert between units. Price each line in the unit its rate is in, such as sf, lf, box or roll.
Can I show an upgrade without adding it to the bid?
Yes. Switch the upgrade's line off. It stays on the sheet, struck through, and what it comes to is shown beside the totals for reference.
Can I go back to the carpet price after swapping to vinyl?
Yes. Every saved version is kept. Compare the one priced with carpet against now, and restore it with a click.
Can I carry floor prep before the grinding quotes come in?
Yes. Add floor prep as a subtrade and carry a plug amount. When the bids for grinding and levelling arrive, enter each one, and the lowest is flagged and carried unless you pick another.
